Easter with Exodus

Passion Week in the Coptic Orthodox faith is a deeply spiritual journey that draws believers into the heart of Christ’s sacrifice, love, and victory. Through daily prayers, hymns, and reflections on the suffering of Christ, individuals are invited to slow down, step away from distractions, and realign their hearts with God. This sacred time is not only about remembering the crucifixion, but about entering into a season of repentance, humility, and renewal. Easter then becomes far more than a celebration, it becomes a personal encounter with the resurrection, reminding us that through Christ’s victory over death, we are offered new life, purpose, and lasting hope.
During this Easter period, prayer should be intentional and deeply reflective. It is a time to focus on repentance, asking God to reveal areas of the heart that need healing and surrender. It is a time to reflect on Christ’s sacrifice with gratitude, recognising the depth of His love and the price paid for salvation. Prayer should also centre on forgiveness, both receiving it and extending it to others, as well as seeking strength to live a life that reflects Christ daily. Above all, this season calls for stillness before God, listening as much as speaking, allowing His presence to bring peace, clarity, and transformation.
As John Chrysostom powerfully reminds us in his Paschal homily
“Let all partake of the feast of faith; let all receive the riches of goodness… Christ is risen, and life reigns.”
This Month’s Feature Program: Community Liturgy and Brunch
Join us at Exodus every Thursday at 9 am for our Community Liturgy and Brunch, a welcoming and inclusive gathering open to all. At the heart of each Thursday is the Holy Liturgy, where we come together in prayer, lifting our hearts and minds to God through shared worship and reflection. It is a time to pause, realign, and be spiritually renewed alongside one another.
Following the Liturgy, everyone is invited to stay for a warm and generous brunch. This is more than just a meal, it is a space for connection, where community members, volunteers, donors, and staff come together to build genuine relationships and share in fellowship.
At Exodus, we are committed to a holistic approach to wellbeing, recognising that true health is not only physical, but also emotional and spiritual. This weekly gathering beautifully brings all three together, creating a space where people can feel nourished, supported, and connected.

We are excited to invite you to one of our most anticipated events of the year, the Exodus Zoo Lunch Gala. Set in a unique and vibrant setting, this special gathering brings together our community for an afternoon of great food, meaningful connection, and unforgettable experiences. It is a chance to come together with friends, family, and like minded individuals who are passionate about community, faith, and making a difference. With a relaxed atmosphere, engaging moments, and plenty of surprises along the way, this event promises to be both enjoyable and impactful. We would love for you to be part of it, so be sure to secure your spot and join us for a truly memorable day.

We are truly grateful and filled with joy as we reflect on the recent Exodus Grounded Retreat held in March. It was a meaningful time of connection, rest, and spiritual renewal, where so many came together to step away from the busyness of life and realign with what matters most. Seeing the community engage so openly, support one another, and grow both individually and collectively was incredibly rewarding. There was a real sense of peace, presence, and purpose throughout the retreat, and we are so thankful for everyone who was part of it. See photos below capturing some of these special moments.
