Celebrating the Heart of Our Community Together

The Exodus Zoo Gala was never meant to be just another event. From the beginning, the vision was clear. Create something that genuinely brought families together in a way that felt warm, relaxed, meaningful and unforgettable.

What unfolded on the day exceeded every expectation we had.

Set against one of Sydney’s most breathtaking uninterrupted harbour views, families gathered not around formality or pressure, but around connection. Laughter filled the room from the very beginning. Parents relaxed. Children explored. Friends reunited. New friendships were formed. There was a genuine sense that people were not simply attending an event, but becoming part of something much bigger.

As Exodus stepped into pioneering what we believe is one of the first true family style gala experiences of its kind, there was naturally an element of uncertainty. Would people connect with the concept? Would families feel comfortable? Could a gala truly feel both premium and deeply welcoming at the same time?

The answer was a resounding yes.

One of the most beautiful parts of the day was watching every generation enjoy the experience together. While adults enjoyed the incredible atmosphere, conversations and live music, the children embarked on their own zoo adventure filled with excitement, laughter and discovery. The balance created a unique environment where parents could genuinely breathe, connect and enjoy themselves knowing their children were also having an unforgettable experience.

Throughout the day, we were reminded of the beauty of true Christian community. As written in 1 Corinthians 12:12

“For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ.”

Every conversation, every laugh, every child running with excitement and every family sharing a table reflected this truth so clearly. Different people. Different stories. One community brought together in love.

The feedback throughout the event was overwhelming. Many guests shared that they had never experienced anything quite like it before. The atmosphere carried a rare authenticity that is difficult to manufacture. It felt natural. Joyful. Full of heart.

The food itself became part of the experience. With beautifully prepared snapper, chicken and lamb, every table found something to enjoy, and the quality of the menu matched the calibre of the setting perfectly.

Ecclesiastes 4:9 reminded us throughout the day that:

“Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil.”

There is something powerful about people gathering together with genuine care for one another. In a world where isolation and busyness often dominate, the Gala became a reminder that community still matters deeply.

None of this would have been possible without the support of our incredible sponsors. A heartfelt thank you to our Gold Sponsor Vitaceuticals and Silver Sponsor Dog Crew for believing in the vision and helping bring this event to life.

We also extend deep appreciation to Social Oceans Agency for delivering the entire experience from end to end with excellence. From event management and communications to atmosphere, media and execution, every detail was handled with care and professionalism.

Most importantly, thank you to every family, friend, volunteer and supporter who attended. Your warmth, energy and generosity are what transformed this from an event into a memory that so many people will carry with them for a long time.

As we looked around the room, Acts 2:46 felt alive before our eyes:

“They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts.”

That spirit of glad and sincere hearts filled every corner of the event.

The Exodus Zoo Gala reminded us of something powerful. People are longing for genuine connection. Not rushed moments. Not surface level experiences. Real community. Real family.

Real joy rooted in Christ.

And after what we witnessed together, we know this is only the beginning.
