our Vision

At Exodus,

Our vision has always been to create a world where every individual, regardless of their circumstances, experiences unconditional love, support, and empowerment and community.

It is this vision that drives us to strive for communities flourishing in compassion, resilience, and understanding, where each person has the opportunity to rebuild their lives and rediscover their worth.

We do not charge a fee for any of our services whether it is counselling, case management, programs or even food. This commitment to free services underscores our dedication to making help accessible to everyone, regardless of their financial situation.

Our Mission

Exodus strives to empower and support people until they arrive at a place of hope and stability in four main service areas: mental health support, domestic and family violence support, addiction support services and community development.

The need was driven by the increasing number of disengaged individuals that had distanced themselves from their community for several reasons including addiction, homelessness, mental health issues and family conflict.

It became apparent after several years that a more robust holistic professional approach was needed to cope with the needs of the Coptic Orthodox community and beyond. A push was needed to raise funds and donations to hire professionals in the social welfare and counselling fields to cope with the ever increasing numbers of individuals and families we needed to support.

Who We are

Through the grace of God for more than two decades of sustained fundraising and impact on the ground, we now have 13 staff from counsellors to community development workers delivering compassionate care to those in need.

We are able to deliver these services not only to the Coptic Orthodox community but to the wider community through casework, counselling and programs. Our aim is to serve each individual with care and uniqueness they deserve in a holistic professional approach embodying the mantra of: Compassion - Empowerment - Community.
