EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS
AND SEMINARS
Practical learning, community education and wellbeing-focused workshops for individuals, families and groups
At Exodus Community Services, we believe education is an important part of strengthening individuals, families and communities. This is why we are planning to deliver educational programs and seminars that are designed to provide practical tools, increase awareness, build confidence and support healthier relationships, emotional wellbeing and community connection.
Delivered by Exodus staff, counsellors and experienced facilitators, our workshops will create safe and engaging spaces for people to learn, reflect, ask questions and develop skills they can use in everyday life.
Our programs will be suitable for community members, parents, young people, families, volunteers, schools, churches, workplaces and community groups.

Men’s Behaviour Change Education and Support
Exodus will provide education and support focused on helping men reflect on behaviour, responsibility, relationships, emotional regulation and the impact of their choices on others.
This work will encourage accountability, safer relationships and practical steps toward change. It may include learning around respectful communication, managing emotions, understanding patterns of control or harm, and building healthier ways of relating to partners, children, family and community.
Where appropriate, participants may also be connected with further counselling, casework, referral pathways or specialist support.
Tuning in to Kids Parenting Workshops
Tuning in to Kids parenting workshops help parents and carers better understand children’s emotions, behaviour and development.
These workshops support parents to strengthen connection with their children, respond to emotions with greater confidence, and build healthier communication within the family. The program can assist parents and carers who want practical tools for supporting children through stress, change, conflict, anxiety, big feelings or challenging behaviour.
The focus is on helping families build stronger relationships through emotional awareness, connection and positive parenting strategies.
Mental Health Workshops and Seminars
Our mental health workshops will provide accessible education on common emotional and psychological challenges, including stress, anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, trauma, grief and resilience.
These sessions will be designed to reduce stigma, increase understanding and help people recognise when they or someone they care about may need support.
Workshops may include practical strategies for coping, self-care, communication, help-seeking and connecting with appropriate services.
Parenting, Family and Relationship Education
Families can face pressure from many directions, including parenting stress, separation, grief, financial strain, migration, conflict, mental health concerns and major life transitions.
Exodus will offer education that helps families better understand relationships, communication, emotional needs, boundaries, conflict and connection.
These sessions will aim to strengthen family wellbeing and give individuals and parents practical tools for navigating challenges with greater confidence and care.
Community Wellbeing and Awareness Seminars
Our community seminars are being designed to raise awareness and build capacity across the broader community.
Topics may include domestic and family violence awareness, trauma-informed care, mental health, grief and loss, addiction, community safety, referral pathways, volunteer support and responding compassionately to people in hardship.
These seminars will aim to support community leaders, volunteers, churches, schools, workplaces and local groups to better understand the needs around them and respond in safe, informed and helpful ways.
