COUNSELLING AND
PSYCHOLOGY SERVICES

“Personalised therapy sessions conducted by experienced counsellors and psychologists”

At Exodus Community Services, we provide compassionate, professional counselling and psychology services for individuals, couples, adolescents and families. Our team offers a safe and supportive space where people can talk through life’s challenges, strengthen emotional wellbeing, and develop practical strategies for healing, growth and change.

We understand that every person’s story is different. That is why our counselling and psychology services are tailored to each individual’s needs, circumstances and goals. Whether someone is experiencing grief, anxiety, trauma, relationship stress, addiction, major life changes or emotional difficulties, our team works alongside them with care, respect and dignity.

Our approach is warm, person-centred and trauma-informed. We focus not only on the challenges people are facing, but also on their strengths, resilience and hopes for the future.

Therapeutic Approaches
Our team draws from a range of evidence-informed therapeutic approaches, depending on the needs of the person and the goals of therapy. These may include:
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, also known as CBT
  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy-informed strategies, also known as DBT
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, also known as ACT

Therapy may involve exploring thoughts, emotions and behaviours, developing coping strategies, strengthening communication, processing painful experiences, building emotional regulation skills, and supporting healthier decision-making.

What to Expect
When you connect with Exodus, we will listen carefully to understand what support may be most helpful. Counselling is a confidential and respectful process where you can speak openly, at your own pace, with a trained professional.
Sessions may focus on immediate concerns, longer-term patterns, emotional wellbeing, relationships, coping strategies, or personal goals. For some people, counselling may be short-term and practical. For others, therapy may involve deeper work around trauma, grief, mental health or life experiences.
Our goal is to help people feel heard, supported and better equipped to navigate life’s challenges.

Fee-For-Service
At Exodus, our mission is simple - to serve individuals and families in need, with compassion and professionalism. To continue providing quality, accessible counselling and reach more people in need, we are introducing a modest fee structure that includes a bulk-billed component and a small out-of-pocket contribution. This ensures we can sustain and grow our services, while continuing to support anyone facing financial hardship.
For more information on our fee structure, please email us at info@exodus.org.au

We support individuals and families with care, professionalism and respect, walking alongside them as they build resilience, restore hope and move toward greater wellbeing.
